We have many pets that become more than just patients...they become friends.

Kippy February 15, 2007

Kippy was given to us two years ago because of extreme obesity and inability to use the litterbox.  She weighed a whopping 25lbs and was unable to walk more then a few steps at a time.  She was started on a gradual weight loss and excercise program and slowly the pounds came off.  She is now a slim 13 pounds and is able to run and jump like a normal cat (especially when food is involved.) We think her big green eyes and her enormous appetite allowed her to gain the weight in the first place.  Kippy was recently adopted by a loving family and spends most of her days enjoying the good life with her new brothers and sisters.

Ruby is our new clinic cat!

Ruby was brought to us in December 2008 by a wonderful lady who found her hit by a car on the side of the road. Ruby had no identification but was such a sweet cat we decided to fix her up and keep her untill we could find the owner. We performed surgery to remove her badly broken tail and over weeks of healing no one came forward to claim her. We've since named her 'Ruby' and promoted her to a permanent position of Clinic Cat. Ruby seems very happy to have found a new safe home but not every animal is as lucky as her. That is why we urge all pet owners to permanently identify their pets with a tattoo and/or microchip. A collar with identification is also recommended but remember these are often lost!
